  • You’re a motivated rising senior student with a 3.0 GPA or higher seeking a degree in one of the following areas listed below from an accredited college or university:
    • Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical and Computer Engineering
  • This is a full-time, 10-week program designed to give you real-world experience working within the telecommunications industry in your field of choice.
  • Internship program runs from May 27 through July 31, 2026.
  • In addition to the role-based projects you’ll work on, you’ll also participate in professional development sessions, networking opportunities, and have access to a mentor.

The Spectrum Internship Experience

You’ll join one of our departments for the summer, where you’ll contribute to meaningful projects that give you insight into what it’s like to work at a leading connectivity company. You’ll have access to:

What you can expect in this role 

As a Spectrum intern, you’ll spend the summer working alongside two teams — your respective department and your intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on May 27th, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects, and final presentations.

Internship responsibilities may include

  • As a Software Engineer intern with the Agent Tools Design Technology Team, you will support, Site Reliability
  • Support essential infrastructure maintenance and dev-ops infrastructure pipelines for applications used internal to Charter Agent Tools Feature Enhancement 
  • Support extending our internal tooling and data aggregation efforts by implementing software that will audit source code for various relationships and dependencies that help us better understand how parts of our system work together
  • Prototype Development - Implement mock wireframes from our design partners to create fully interactive, responsive, and accessible prototypes that will be used in User Experience Testing to help refine real downstream production application features Plugin Development 
  • Use the Figma REST API and the Figma Plugin API to create self contained, deployable artifacts that can be published to the internal Charter Figma Plugin registry, and used by our design partners to increase design efficiency and metric tracking

Required qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University graduating with a bachelor’s degree between December 2026 - May 2027
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
  • Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship

  • Technical experience with software development specific to Web Development in programming languages including, but not limited to:
    • Javascript/Typescript
    • HTML
    • CSS
    • Rust
    • Java
    • Zig
    • C
    • Kotlin

The pay for this position has a salary range of $27.50 to $29.50. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.

The base pay for this position generally is between $27.50 and $29.50. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
